Good evening! Just a few reminders for those of you who plan to return to in person learning on Tuesday, January 19. Hours at Hurricane Town will be the same as they were at the beginning of the year. Doors open at 8:00am and dismissal is at 2:50pm. For the safety of all students & staff, we will not be allowing visitors into the building & we will not be accepting outside deliveries or drop-off of items. We will have an abundance of staff outside each morning to help children into the building. It would be helpful if you could tag their backpack with their grade level and/or teacher's name as well as bus number. Bus info can be found on the PCS website. Please make sure your child knows how they will be getting home at the end of each day. Sending a note to the teacher on Tuesday with this information would also be helpful. Friendly reminder that YMCA will not be reopening their aftercare program at our school at this time. The lunch menu is available on our website & on the PCS Connect app. If your child is ill, in quarantine, or experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, we ask that you do not send them to school. Please follow the "Should I Come to School?" checklist on our school website, or the guidance found on PCS or WVDE websites to screen your child at home each morning. As always, if you have questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or call the school. We can't wait to welcome our students back on Tuesday! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Please be aware of the following reminders from HTES. *Unfortunately, visitors are not permitted in the school, so parents will not be able to walk students into the building on the first day. K-2 teachers provided backpack tags to be attached to your child’s backpack indicating their name, grade, and mode of transportation home. Please remember to use this tag, it will be essential for staff who are escorting your child into the school from your car or from the bus. It will also be essential for us to know how to help your child at dismissal. *If you have not sent back your child’s emergency card and health information sheet, please do so on their first day of school. *Please have your child bring their ipad fully charged to school with them. These devices will be used daily in classrooms. *Doors will open for student drop off at 8am at HTES. *Students and staff will be required to wear face coverings at all times. We encourage students to wear their own face mask from home. However, if your child does not have a face mask, we are happy to provide one. *Please complete the daily home health screening checklist with your child each morning before coming to school. If your child is displaying symptoms of Covid-19, has had close contact with an infected individual, or is currently under quarantine or isolation due to a positive test, please do not send your child to school. Please report any of this information to the school as soon as possible. We look forward to welcoming our in person learners back to school!
